			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before going on vacation, I attended a sales training course with Ruth Badger called ‘Selling Badger Style’. Now Ruth could sell snow to the Eskimos, so I was interested to find out if her techniques crossed over into the virtual world of the Internet.</p>
<p>It’s often said in sales, that people buy from people, but what is often forgotten is the fact that people see you before your product.</p>
<p>In traditional sales, you make contact with a prospect, either through a telephone call or a physical meeting. So the prospect either hears what you have to say or sees you in person before they know what service or product you are offering.</p>
<p>It’s human nature to develop a first impression, based on the experience you give and that first impression can be the difference between doing business or not.</p>
<p>People buy from people.</p>
<p>Now, in the virtual world of Internet Selling and Internet Marketing, that first impression is made when the visitor views your squeeze page or blog.</p>
<p>So it is really important to display quality content that engages and informs the reader, presented within a blog theme that is easy on the eye and easy to navigate.</p>
<p>With that in mind, I’m looking to change my WordPress Theme and alter the layout of my blog.</p>
<p>Does anyone have any favourite themes that I should use or widgets to recommend?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of the exercises that Ruth Badger gave on the course involved asking people what people thought they needed to be a good sales person.</p>
<p>We were given three attributes; Skills, Knowledge and Attitude and asked to rate which attribute was the most important.</p>
<p>She then asked us to write down, 3 good things about a sales person and 3 bad.</p>
<p>Suggestions for bad traits came up as;</p>
<ul>
<li>Sly</li>
<li>Lazy</li>
<li>Doesn&#8217;t Listen</li>
<li>Impersonal</li>
<li>Rude</li>
<li>Arrogant</li>
<li>Pushy</li>
</ul>
<p>Good traits included were;</p>
<ul>
<li>Honest</li>
<li>Helpful</li>
<li>Polite</li>
<li>Passionate</li>
</ul>
<p>Its amazing to see that both the good and the bad traits can nearly all be defined as &#8216;Attitude&#8217;.</p>
<p>&#8230;&#8230; and whilst this course related to direct selling, I think the message crosses over to Bloging.</p>
<p>For succesfull blogging, we need to be helpful, honest and passionate about what we&#8217;re writing about.</p>
<p>So think about your attitude when you blog.</p>
